Jake's 1st birthday party was a success! He got lots of cool presents that have been played with nonstop since Saturday. He got some really cute books too that he likes for me to read to him when he gets tired. I was a little unsure of what Jake would do when it was time for him to have his cake. Sam is very OCD so he pitched a fit at his 1st birthday party, Jake however is extremely different from Sam. He loves to make a mess and his eyes lit up when we put the cake on his tray. He touched it at first to see if he was going to get in trouble for playing with his food and then when we started cheering him on he went all out! He threw his arms in the air and went mouth first into the cake! It was hilarious! He had fun playing in the icing and actually only ate a little of the cake.
Thank you to everyone that came to his party and for the great gifts! We are really blessed to have such great family and friends that would take time out of their Saturday to celebrate with a 1 year old!
Jake was ok with Sam touching his cake it was when Sam took a piece of the candy that Jake wasn't too happy!
Jake in his new Cozy Coupe! I'm sure by the time he is finished with this car the wheels will be worn down to nothing!
