Sam's 4th Birthday

WOW! Sam is now 4! Is it possible? He has grown up so much in the past few months it amazes me!

Sam's birthday week has come and gone and what a week it was (the picture says it all)! We had his Soccer Birthday Party at Cherub's Clubhouse with all his friends the Sunday before his actual birthday. He had a great time up until we decided to sing Happy Birthday and the meltdown started. Sam is not one for surprises of any kind or being center of attention and because he was not "warned" that we would be singing he did not know how to react. All his friends ate their cupcakes and went back to playing while poor Sam sat in my lap crying. Once he realized the attention was not on him anymore he went back to playing too. He loves all of his presents that his friends gave him and now to ask him about the party he says it was AWESOME! Whew at least the singing did not affect him long!

On Wednesday, March 10th, I sent cupcakes to school with Sam because it was his "special snack day" (I warned his teacher not to sing to him)! After school his teacher emailed me and said that Sam was a "firecracker" all day and that she had never seen him so excited. She said all he talked about was his birthday and that he was going to Chuck E. Cheese's for dinner. He played so good at Chuck E Cheese and had the best time. He wore his Birthday Crown for 2 days! He had a Great 4th Birthday!
