We had a fun but busy weekend! We took Jake on his first trip to the zoo! He had no idea what was going on but loved being outside. Sam had a blast seeing all the animals. He started comparing it to his "Move It Move It" movie (or Madagascar for those that did not know Sam renamed the movie)! He would tell me the names of the animals in the movie when we saw them. He said Melman the giraffe was his favorite! When we saw the gorilla they were feeding him and when the gorilla started moving toward his food all we could see was his butt and Sam decided to point that out to everyone by saying "Ha Ha, I see your bottom"! It was hilarious! When we left the zoo 3-4 hours later we headed home thinking Sam would want a nap...WRONG! He was ready to play outside so I changed him into his bathing suit and let him wash my car. I ended up washing the car and Sam ended up soaking me with the water hose! After a 2 hour trip to Walmart, in a clean car, we went to Grandma and Poppa's house and ended the day about 10:30pm...all the while Sam has only napped 30 minutes in the car!

Sunday we got up and worked in the yard. Sam had fun playing in the clippings from the bushes. We then tried to rest before heading to a birthday party for one of Sam's school friends. I think this was party #9 since February although we have not made them all. His school has the classes split so that the kids with September - February birthdays are in one class and then March - August in another class. Because Sam is a March baby he is one of the oldest in his class which means we kicked off the birthday season in his class so now we have had a party just about every weekend and they all seem to be a Pump it Up or somewhere very similar. The kids have so much fun together and I can just imagine what happens every Tuesday and Thursday at school! Those poor teachers!
We obviously did not get much of a chance to rest this weekend but my plan is to catch up next weekend if I can make it through the week at work!
