Jake's 4 Months Old

I knew the last 3 years of Sam's life have gone by fast but I really can't believe Jake is already 4 months old! We went to the doctor today for his checkup and the first thing the doctor said was, "This child is wasting away...you need to feed him more"! Of course he was kidding because Jake is a hoss!

Here are his stats:

~Weight: 17lbs 10.5oz (90%)

~Height: 25 1/2 (75th%)

~Head Circumference: 17 (75th%)

Now compared to Sam, Jake is about 1 pound smaller than Sam was and of course that was all because Sam's head was off the charts! Jake did have to get 4 shots today which he was very mad about!

Jake has started laughing regularly and just this week he mastered rolling over! He has been rolling over in his infant rocker but this week he has learned to do it on the floor. If you are not looking you will miss it he is so fast! He is "talking" all the time and LOVES to watch Sam and let me tell you Sam does not disappoint Jake by sitting still! Jake is sleeping from 8pm - 5 or 6am every night which we are all thankful for!

Jake does have a problem with patience! He does not give any warning signs when he gets hungry except that his bottom lip will curl and then watch out because the screaming begins. Even when you have the bottle ready he is so mad that you were not ready to give it to him when he first rolled his lip he will literally scream for another few minutes before finally taking the bottle. I think he keeps screaming just so you know how mad he is at you! He pulled this Sunday at Mom & Dad's house and Dad kept telling me that I should have known it was time for him to eat but really it had only been 2 hours since his last bottle and he should not have needed another one so soon. I think he was looking for him to be cranky for a few minutes before the screaming starts but not Jake...when he is ready you better be or he gets ticked!

Jake is a great baby and we would not change a thing (even the hunger tantrums)!
